Time to Get It In! - College Tours

Wellesley College Admission Office, April 2014
Of course my mom started talking about college tours a year ago. This past April we visited four schools in the northeast and one in Ohio during spring break. It was crazy, it was exhausting. I really got a chance to experience first hand what college life is like: seminar classes, dormitory living, urban vs. small town or rural setting, etc. I became painfully aware of the difference between 2,000 students on a single-sex campus and 20,000 co-eds on a campus in the middle of a city.

This list of College Fly-In programs are a good resource if you're planning to squeeze in some college visits this fall before you start working on those admission applications. Here are a few programs that (some offer travel assistance) are fantastic opportunities for multi-cultural students.

A fee waiver of the $60 application fee is provided to all students invited to attend a DIVOH weekend. Some students who apply to the Open House will also receive a waiver for the Amherst College $60 application fee in order to encourage their applications to Amherst, regardless of whether they are invited to attend the Open House.
